Entry-Level Cloud Computing Engineer (Azure Specialist)

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Entry-Level Cloud Computing Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure to join our team. This role involves working with cloud-based solutions to deploy, manage, and optimize IT resources on Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cloud technologies, a willingness to learn, and a desire to contribute to innovative cloud infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up, managing, and maintaining Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and databases.
  • Support the deployment of cloud-based solutions and services.
  • Monitor Azure resources to ensure performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Optimize cloud usage to reduce expenses and improve scalability.
  • Work with DevOps teams to integrate and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Automate deployments and updates using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Terraform.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining Azure security features, such as identity management, role-based access control (RBAC), and network security groups (NSGs).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and cloud governance standards.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support for cloud-related issues.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve more complex problems.
  • Stay updated on new Azure services and best practices.
  • Participate in training and certifications to enhance cloud expertise.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of cloud resources, configurations, and workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and Azure services.
Familiarity with tools like Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and PowerShell is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
